Test Information
Some malignancies, particularly those in the trophoblastic spectrum, such as choriocarcinoma, germ cell tumours, teratoma, and hydatiform mole, release the -subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin.
Clinical Indications
• Diagnose trophoblastic disease or germ cell tumours of the testes or ovaries; and Diagnosis of trophoblastic tumour and its care. It can also be utilised on a regular basis to check on the success of these disorders' treatments and look for cancer recurrence.
